Bank Holiday Monday - August 30th 2004

Central Radio were on air all day. In fact we started at 8am in the morning and finished transmitting 3am the following morning.
We were on air for 19 hours.
We broadcast today on 106.4fm, also on 102.2fm. A big thanks to Dave Collins from the Scene who helped with the relay.

The line up of DJ's involved in our August 2004 Bank Holiday Monday broadcast was as follows...


8am - 10am............ Brian Grant (80's music mix)


10am - 12pm.......... Jim Brown (golden oldies)

12pm - 2pm............ Tony James ( 80's, Pop and Liverpool musicians)

2pm - 5pm.............. Dr TK and the Dog (dance + scouse house)

5pm - 6pm............... Brian Grant (classic 80's)

6pm - 7pm.............. Paul Hunt (chat, banter and various music)

7pm - 8pm.............. Paul Tarpey (indie, punk, new wave, liverpool music)

8pm - 9.20pm.......... Paul Tarpey (interviews + music with Liverpool bands - Mugstar, The Unhealthy, Krautrock and Mazi Fade + their songs + their fave music)

9.20pm - 10pm........ Jim Brown (Dance)

10pm - 12am........... Tom Webb (various music and free radio news)

12am - 2am............ The Jim Brown and Tom Webb late night chat show

2am - 3am.............. Orson Wells radio braodcast from 1938 "War of the Worlds".

ps: huge respect to our station manager Jim Brown for staying awake for 19 hours to get the Central broadcasts on air today.

Sunday - August 15th 2004

Central were on air today transmitting on 106.4fm from approx 4:30pm til 9pm. The broadcast consisted of shows by
Mark Grant (AKA - The Scene) playing pop and dance, Paul Tarpey playing local Liverpool bands and indie music,
a various
80's music mix by Brian Grant and Jim Brown (station manager) himself playing dance.

Other stations heard broadcasting were "Weed FM" on 106.1fm (now in stereo) + Dave Collins on 102.2fm with "The Scene".
